Businesses have cycles, especially the real estate industry. Knowing the cycles is a simple thing, but can be profound. So let's look at the real estate business cycle for a moment. For the most part they are all the same barring some vacation type communities they typically follow the graph below. It is an actual chart of the homes sold in Salt Lake County for the year 2013, while December is not complete, it's not going to change much.
The other thing that is important to remember is that sellers and buyers start thinking about moving 2, 3, 6 months sometimes a year or two in advance. Knowing that, and knowing that the high season is coming, wouldn't it make sense to start putting the pedal to the metal with your marketing and lead generation?
