How to Automate a Social Media Campaign
Social media can be a great tool or it can make you wonder where the day went.
Have you ever wondered how you could automate some of that?
There are tools to automate the process. You can create a campaign and schedule it.
One of my favorite solutions is called HootSuite, there are others
From a simple dashboard you can follow multiple social media streams such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkeIn and more.
But more than follow multiple streams of social media. It is a social media marketing machine.
You can schedule postings for a future time to multiple accounts. There is analytics, team collaboration, custom themes, browser extensions and much more.
Like a lot of SaaS (Software as a Service) products, they are a Freemium. The free account has up to 5 Social Profiles, 2 rss feeds and is ad supported.
The Pro version is very inexpensive at $5.99 per month. Unlimited Social Profiles, with Google analytics and Facebook insights integration, you can bulk upload campaigns in a csv file, those tools are more for larger companies.
Once you create an account you add your profiles such as your personal Facebook profile, Facebook pages, LinkedIn, Twitter.
Scheduling is very simple, you ad the content, select the profiles, click the calendar schedule the time and date, that simple.

Starting at the left Twitter, Facebook, Twitter Mentions (if someone mentions my twitter handle @Rob_Aubrey) LinkedIn and then to the right off the screen is twitter direct messages.
Normally the message composer is not dropped down like that I dropped them for the image.
